Terms and Conditions

Payment and registration: 
All payments must be made online with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover). We cannot accept checks or credit cards over the phone. Unless you sign up during the pre-registration period for the same class, payment does not guarantee placement. You will receive an email within 1 to 14 days after registering that confirms your class placement. We strongly urge you to list a second choice during registration in case your first choice is full. Class size is limited. To be added to the wait list for a full class, please click "yes" to "Waitlist OK?" on the registration form. Class times and teachers are subject to change.  Classes that do not reach a minimum of 6 registrants may be cancelled. Unrelated children must be registered separately. If you wish to switch your class please contact us. We cannot switch you to a class that is full or has a waitlist.

Illness and makeups: 
A runny nose with mucus that is not clear, or a fever within 48 hours before class is a sign that your child is contagious. Please keep your child at home and utilize your 3 makeups.  Make ups are for registered children only and must be scheduled through our scheduler. Each registered child is allowed 3 makeup classes per session and must be registered separately. Makeups cannot be transferred over semesters. Infants attending classes free with a registered sibling need not be scheduled. 

Discounts and promotions cannot be applied retroactively. Discounts for multiple children apply only to siblings registered in the same class.  Infants under 8 months of age at the start of class may attend free with a paid sibling. 

Cancellation Policy:
You may cancel your registration for any reason up to 48 hours before your first class. You will be refunded your tuition minus a $40 cancellation fee.  We regret we cannot offer any refunds after that period.

Each registered family receives two professionally recorded CDs, a beautifully-illustrated songbook with family activity suggestions, a special code for the Family Music Zone where you can download the semester's music from our national Music Together® website, and a quarterly e-newsletter featuring activity suggestions and other fun features. First-time families also receive a DVD and booklet, "Music Together At Home: Helping Your Child Grow Musically". There are 9 different collections rotated over a period of 3 years. Purchase of materials is not optional. Each family has one registration fee and receives only one set of materials no matter how many siblings register.  Please collect your materials before the 4th week of class.

Emails from MTSF:
We use email to notify you of any changes to your class schedule. Please add us to your address book or update your filter to allow emails from office@musictogethersf.com to avoid missing any important notifications. To update your email address, contact us and include your name and class time.

Other policies:
No food or snacks are allowed in the classroom (except for breastfeeding).
Please use of the 'wet bucket' for instruments that have gone into children's mouths.
No cell phone use in class. Our classes are designed to include the musical participation of the attending adults . If your child attends class with another caregiver, please make sure they are aware of our policies. 

SAFETY OF ALL CHILDREN IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY. Please watch and support your child during the entire time you are in the classroom. Parents and caregivers are responsible for the behavior of their children. If your child consistently behaves in a way that presents a safety issue for other children (hitting, biting, pushing, etc), you may be asked to step out of class until the behavior is resolved. If the behavior persists, our director will contact you to discuss options.

Participant specifically agrees that MusicTogether of San Francisco, it's location affiliates, it’s officers and agents shall not be liable for any claim, demand, cause or action of any kind whatsoever for, on account of death, personal injury, property damage, or loss of any kind resulting from or related to onsite presence, and the Participant agrees to hold MusicTogether harmless from same.  Participants have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its content.  Purchase means Participant voluntarily agrees to the terms and conditions stated above.
