Naia Graham comes to Music Together^® with an amazing and varied background as an all-ages yoga teacher who incorporates chanting, singing and the healing power of the voice into all her work. Naia grew up hearing her mother playing the piano and watching her sister sing in school musicals. But Naia's special musical talent then was "lip synching." She would lip synch in the car, in front of her bedroom mirror, and even in school talent shows. It wasn't until she was encouraged to join the school chorus that she actually began to sing out loud. Naia has spent over a decade studying and working in the Healing Arts. The focus of the past few years has primarily been the therapeutic effect that music, sound and movement have on mind/body health and overall well-being. She is a graduate of the Sound Voice and Music Healing Program at CIIS ( California Institute for Integral Studies) and a certified Sound Healer from Globe Institute in San Francisco. Naia is a Certified Music Together teacher, receiving her training directly from Music Together founder Lily Levinowitz. Writing songs, making up songs and singing them with the guitar is one of her favorite things to do.
